Hi Johnny,
Welcome here.
Have you considered starting the DipLite Course ? It's free, and the easiest way to familiarize yourself with the Desteni principles and tools.
Also feel free to open your own thread on the Writing yourself to freedom section.
Please read the Forum Guidelines if you haven't already.
Looking forward to reading how you will support yourself on your journey from mind to awareness as you become acquainted with the shared self-support here!
Enjoy!

Hi Johnny, welcome!
In addition what Maite mentioned, if you want to explore vanity and come to an acceptance of yourself and your body, I suggest you listen to the Imagination series, starting with Self-Image and Imagination.

Things have been very busy with work so I will make the time for getting more educated.
As I stated I am totally new to this so I'm quite shy and worried about my lack of knowledge

Hi Johnny! Welcome to the forum
One suggestion is to not get caught up in the idea that one has to 'know it all' before participating. I did that for a while instead of realizing that the forum is precisely to instead ask, share and give your perspectives, which assist a lot when starting to ground one's foot in it all.
So, take it easy, ask as much as you need to and enjoy it

Re: My introduction
Welcome Johnny - reading the words "become less vain about my looks", an interesting point opened up: purely being vain about your looks can create a sense of distraction and so separation from self and life itself...leading one's life to essentially be lived 'in vain', without reason, purpose, meaning, depth, value, worth, legacy.Johnny7j7 wrote:Hi,

So, for life and self to not be lived in vain...and so with it pain, let it be a life lived with gain. Making your relationship with self, the body, everyone else, your future etc. equal in a way where you cherish and care for yourself, your body, your relationships, your life and future etc. So, may your journey through life guide you in such a way where your drop the vanity and return to sanity / commonsense and create a self and life worth living. Spending the amount of time you would have wasted on vanity - and rather INVEST the time into self and life.
Enjoy
