Creating Ripples on the Web: Migrants and the UK & Calais situation

Post by viktor »

This week we will look at the point of migrants, especially because it has come up in the media with the entire situation in the tunnel between UK and Calais. So, with immigration, and migrants, what is the real problem we're facing? Why are people really migrating as they are doing? Is it a solution to close the borders, and extradite illegal immigrants?

This situation is also a cool opportunity to recognize the fact that as a nation we can't anymore hide from the consequences occurring in other countries around the globe. We have to realize that our world is now a global community and that when one part hurts, this will in time affect another part – such as the dire living conditions in Africa now having a direct impact on France and the UK. What can we do to remedy this situation in a way that is best for all?

So, lot's of various aspects to look at in relation to this topic – will be fun to see what blogs and vlogs that will come from it.

Very necessary to set some common sense around the growing hatred toward immigrants, very necessary to understand history and the consequential outflows of past abuses and breeding poverty and inequality, we're all definitely responsible
