Current consequence of masturbation and cure for fetishism

Post by frank »

What exactly is the current consequence of masturbation and watching porn?

I have a kind of fetishism. But I don't want to tell you what specifically it is. It urges me to always watch this type of pornographic movies. I don't really know how to practically stop it because the desire is always building up so big.

According to my understanding, watching porns will support mind system. That's why desteni is against it. But I guess there will be other consequences around this. Is that true? And any methods for curing fetishism?

Thank you.

Hey Frank,

It's not that Desteni is 'against' porn - it's more that what was found that watching pornography skews one's relationship with self expression and therefore is not in the best interest of self. I would also look at the starting point of your question: do you want to investigate your relationship with porn and your particular fetish because you want to learn more about yourself and empower yourself in developing your self-expression -- or are you looking at stopping porn and the particular fetish because you fear the consequences that may manifest if you don't?

If your starting point is fear, you will find that is rather difficult to work through the process of stopping as you are not geared or directing yourself towards understanding what exactly is playing out but instead stop through actively suppressing your desires.

Hi, Leila.

Yes, my starting point is fear. Fearing the consequences. Before I investigated desteni, I got into different materials, particularly Buddhist doctrine. They said masturbation would weak your body and create karma. Which leaves me a fear of that. This fear goes on even after I have investigated desteni materials. Because I still don't qute understand what masturbation will effect in terms of your self expression.

And I don't find any desteni materials say about cure for fetishism. I have it since my childhood. I really want to know why I have this fetish and how to get rid of it.

Hey Frank !

Thanks for the question/topic
It is not as much as a know-how of what are the consequences, they/it could be anything. It is more to understand for you/the one, to look deep into a mirror and be equal & one to what you see.

If you want to quit porn (which you must realize for yourself) then no one else can stop that habit but yourself.

What ever habit/fetish of porn you had/have - it can be worked on and forgiven. But you must also change - from this addiction of porn. It is a process.

was this helpful ? feel free to ask Q.

giving you a link to a blog on porn addiction:
