1:54 PM]
joekou set the channel topic: Open Floor Tonight with Joe - We Start at 5 past the hour!!

[2:02 PM]
joekou A note for all the early birds - in 3 days I will officially have been here at the farm for one full year

[2:02 PM]
marlen so fast so soon

[2:02 PM]
joekou I feel like i just got here. But at the same time I feel like I've been here for years

[2:02 PM]
leilazm lol I remember you got here and then disappeared into the studio

[2:03 PM]
gian I feel the same Joe

[2:03 PM]
joekou leilazm is exaggerating. i first disappeared into setting up the studio. then i disappeared into the studio

[2:03 PM]
adam lol

[2:04 PM]
joekou So - Sunette isn't available tonight but I am here for an open floor night with y'all

[2:05 PM]
so - if any of you have something to discuss, explore, share, confess, here is your chance

[2:05 PM]
valentin.rozman Hi all :slightly_smiling_face:

[2:05 PM]
joekou If you had one shot, one opportunity, to open up a topic for tonight's chat, would you capture it, or just let it slip?

[2:06 PM]
garbrielle how about looking into positive experiences/thoughts and expression?

[2:06 PM]
marlen How about looking into the 'matter' point and how this may have assisted already for some to 'tackle' the 'matters at hand' so to speak, meaning asking the question 'who are we as matter' in the moment seeing the truth of ourselves and the potential of what we can decide to do

[2:06 PM]
viktorpersson Yes the I matter point would be interesting

[2:06 PM]
marlen that is also a cool one garb so we can decide

[2:06 PM]
tormod 2 cool points

[2:06 PM]
joekou cool guys - i recently was also looking at something that came up for me in the statement 'i matter'

[2:06 PM]
garbrielle i'm still testing the matter point and playing with it, it's an interesting one for sure

[2:07 PM]
joekou let's take that as our topic for this evening

[2:07 PM]
marlen k cool, so we can each share what opened up around 'I matter'

[2:07 PM]
joekou set the channel topic: I MATTER - what does that practically mean?

[2:08 PM]
joekou so - who here can share with us what they have been looking at and opening up so far with the "Matter" point

[2:09 PM]
marlen Ok so what I noticed is that it simplifies looking at myself in the moment, who am I as matter? and that in a way shortcuts a lot of 'beating around the bush' in relation to myself in that moment and pushes me to define myself, say I am feeling somewhat 'lethargic' or 'having too much to do but clueless where to begin' through defining that and being self-honest about my experience, say 'lethargic' I can then assess 'ok that's definitely not what I want to be impressing on the matter that I am at this moment, what can I instead do to live the potential of myself as matter in this moment'

[2:09 PM]
garbrielle I have been seeing this word 'i matter' as a placement in real time to move into the physical and live a word, so it's as of now a support to live real time realizing that in a moment i can change and be here because i am already here, i am physical so i live this

[2:09 PM]
viktorpersson I was looking at how I can matter to myself – one point that opened up in how I can live that for me is to consequently utilize the tools of writing, sf, scs – to act and deal with my shit when it opens up and not let it slip and wait – practicing that immediate point of living/walking the solution would matter a lot

[2:10 PM]
marlen and that has opened up then to exactly living a word that I can instead live as 'I matter' - myself as matter giving myself direction to instead start somewhere doing what I require to do, take the steps and for example 'will' myself to do it and actually get to it - hence the 'matter' as myself becomes a will to give myself direction to what I know I require to do

[2:10 PM]
adam something that came up for me was how much of me I had accepted in a way as an objection to I Matter - like in the early politics of me - that I don't matter - was a point that i'd been using

[2:10 PM]
garbrielle and through this there is an instant or a support to release all the mind bs in that moment and move into my physical body...so i find it is quite grounding to the physical getting with the physical

[2:10 PM]
tormod I matter with being patient and consistent with myself - to understand myself to go deeper, over time. to be of matter for others around the table in seamingly simple moments - to push myself with others and do the extra thing

[2:10 PM]
viktorpersson I enjoyed looking at how I can matter to myself in the small daily moments of life

[2:10 PM]
valentin.rozman I have seen it as a cool answer to those who perceive themselves as powerless, a small individual in world crowd of 7 billion who can not matter much and thus many just want to be passive or run away from here, also by committing suicide.

[2:10 PM]
joekou cool marlen - so making it a very practical assessment in the moment

[2:11 PM]
adam yes excellent because that is another dimension of 'i matter' that will be opening up

[2:11 PM]
marlen ah cool approach there adam as well, realizing the 'I matter' as in this 'whole me' actually matters as an actual clay that is recording every move I take and so I can decide how I shape myself as this matter that I am and so be part of the whole 'matter' and make an impact with that.

[2:11 PM]
garbrielle yes very well said Marlen, i can relate to that, that's how i am seeing it as well

[2:11 PM]
valentin.rozman It also signifies that we are part of the matter/substance as the origin of life and that if we ground ourselves in the matter/physical body, we can empower ourselves and get things done.

[2:11 PM]
tormod i matter cause i am my body lol

[2:12 PM]
marlen exactly @viktorpersson the 'small' and 'detail' is definitely what has opened up within me as well with looking straight into the 'I matter' or 'what is the matter at hand' with which I can work with

[2:12 PM]
garbrielle yes cool one valentin as it does bring through the equality of all in there own capacity, we all are matter thus we all matter thus we all can live as and in matter as ourselves....we all are capable and can will this

[2:12 PM]
marlen and yep also that @tormod as adam was saying how many times we 'diminish' ourselves believing we don't matter/we don't have an 'impact' or whatever else, instead of seeing our own body/thoughts/actions already as something that is constantly imprinting and so creating a consequence/result of whatever words we decide to live

[2:13 PM]
it's definitely a cool word in relation to that as well Valentin, it also becomes a handy 'reminder' of what we are really 'made of' and so seeing the potential in any given situation, the potential as what 'I am capable of living in this moment' and so then actually getting to do it

[2:14 PM]
garbrielle yes it's like an expansion word or a support for self movement

[2:14 PM]
joekou I will share an experience that I had when looking at this statement "I Matter" - where when i spoke those words within myself what came up was actually a lot of self-judgment, anger, shame, guilt, and a response of "No! I don't matter!" - did anyone else have an experience like this where the first thing that came up was actually negative?

[2:14 PM]
marlen nope, but do share!

[2:15 PM]
garbrielle surprisingly i saw through that programming JoeKou and realized the essense of the words, i matter is physical is living physical and i certainly can do that....i was expecting to see the worst of me and my judgments, ect. but it was more an empowering point to walk for myself

[2:15 PM]
viktorpersson No with this word I had no reactions – it was different with purpose even though they are similar

[2:16 PM]
joekou awesome garbrielle

[2:16 PM]
marlen also a funny thing here is that the word matter has several meanings to it, which is also quite cool to suit it the purpose of where we're at, seeing 'matter' as a 'problem', the 'matter at hand' as both ourselves being 'the problem' and also 'the solution' to it, and the matter in the ultimate sense of life/matter/substance and so recognizing that 'I matter' as I am part of this whole, I am the directive principle of this that I am therefore I direct myself to live this matter as myself the way that I see is best/most suitable to live

[2:17 PM]
I also was looking at that point @viktorpersson with purpose and so how to not leave it as a 'tainted word' in a way, but simply equalize the practicality that we've gotten now with 'I matter' and see how that's a way to live purpose in the moment, with what's 'here' instead of the grandeur that in my case I had associated with purpose

[2:17 PM]
joekou so what came up for me initially was my own points of self judgment where i asked myself "How do I Matter? Where do I Matter?" - and what came up were memories of where i would do less than i was able, would give in to points that i knew i could have stood through, and memories of words i said to people in my life that have been consequential - so that was the FIRST layer that came up in me when i really looked at the statement as myself.

[2:18 PM]
where interestingly the same programming of "what is my purpose" was still activating

[2:19 PM]
so - what I did was rather look at my relationship with who i am, what i do, and the 'why' of it - and bring it back to self again

[2:19 PM]
and so i looked at - how do i want to matter in this world? how do i want to matter in the lives of people around me? how do i want to matter in the way that live my life?

[2:20 PM]
valentin.rozman One association that I get in regards to word matter is also mat (mate, short for check mate) which is a winning move in chess board game. S when one is grounded in a matter they can win the game of life much more easy.

[2:20 PM]
joekou instead of "what can i do that will make an impact on the world", "what can i do to support the most people", "what can i be that will be most influential/best"

[2:20 PM]
adam cool questions joekou

[2:20 PM]
joekou because i am always mattering - even when what i am creating is coming from a point of 'i don't matter' - that is what i in fact bring into matter through my very living

[2:21 PM]
valentin.rozman And matter sound in Slovenian language similar to word mother, signifying that matter is our mother, our origin and that whenever we are in life trouble, we can return home to our mother and receive protection.

[2:22 PM]
tormod matter in norwegian is door - mats or carpet on the floor

[2:22 PM]
joekou so i had a hard look at this and saw - okay - there are still points in my life where i let myself matter as 'i don't matter'. meaning - areas where i still hold back and act as if i really don't ultimately matter in this world or in the lives of people around me, and that has been what i have been equal to. BUT - this is actually quite cool to see and realize because now the point shifts back to "How do I decide to matter"

[2:23 PM]
or rather "what's the matter with me" lol

[2:23 PM]
marlen yep that's a cool pointer to look at 'straight into the eyes' so to speak joe

[2:24 PM]
joekou how am i mattering right now - in what i am doing, in how i relate to people, in how i regard myself. do i matter to myself? do i honor and respect myself?

[2:24 PM]
and in this, it was important for me to again look at what the LIVING actions are

[2:24 PM]
it is easy to say "I matter. of course i matter" - but then in my living actions i live as though that is not the case

[2:26 PM]
viktorpersson Yes I matter grounds the point HERE

[2:26 PM]
marlen yep, being congruent into, how I see it, honoring the matter I am, meaning we 'care about life' but are we actually living/caring for the matter that is ourselves, our body/the totality of 'who I am'? so I've been looking also at that dimension of when this 'care' is externalized to the point of forgetting about oneself as that matter that is here to change, to create new supportive habits/patterns. When speaking 'matter' I actually look at myself then as a clay that will act out/live out and mold myself according to the words I decide to live= the actions, thoughts, things I do in the moment, and that might be also a supportive 'visual' in seeing ourselves as the creator/sculptor of this matter/clay in every moment, we decide

[2:27 PM]
viktorpersson Purpose for me had a tinge of future/projection/grandiosity – while MATTER – that is already HERE ready to be moved and directed

[2:27 PM]
joekou cool marlen and viktorpersson

[2:27 PM]
marlen exactly @viktorpersson fully agree

[2:28 PM]
lol it is kind of funny though that 'purpose has left the building' interview, very awesome approach as well when seeing how 'far out' we can go in our minds to 'project purpose' instead of working with what's here, the matters at hand as myself

[2:29 PM]
viktorpersson Yes I also find that interesting – that we want something to already be ready and fully furnished – a purpose given – instead of working with MATTER and from that creating ourselves and our lives in matter – which eventually becomes a purpose as ourselves and who we are

[2:29 PM]
marlen definitely

[2:29 PM]
adam Looking at examples of matter around me, something that i noticed was in how I had put a positive gloss onto matter and physicality itself - so there was is an ongoing move there for me in releasing this

[2:30 PM]
marlen hmm can you describe what that positive gloss was about adam?

[2:30 PM]
viktorpersson Cool adam – I have had not had that experience myself

[2:31 PM]
Or wait – with summer/nature/spring I can definitely become excited and feel that everything is really super

[2:31 PM]
garbrielle yes well said Viktor

[2:32 PM]
marlen lol I get the opposite @viktorpersson more like yay winter is here but swedish winter not at all like mexican one

[2:32 PM]
viktorpersson lol no Swedish winter sucks

[2:32 PM]
joekou when i looked at the point of what am i actually creating - what am i actually bringing here as matter, through and as me, it also 'clicked' why it is important to really live and redefine words and expand our living vocabulary - because what we create and what we make MATTER, is largely influenced by what words we live and how we live them

[2:34 PM]
marlen hey that's a cool challenge though, just like I had to 'deal with' the hot weather this month that ends today, made it a point to also decide to not be super annoyed by it, another example of 'changing the matter' of 'being annoyed' by something into embracing it, taking practical steps like comfy-airy clothes, shade, sunblock, hats, fans, taking rests when out and about etc. It was even a challenge to be 'growing hair' in the hottest month because it becomes hotter for me, but that's another way to look at what can I change in my experience in the moment based on a very old pattern like me and 'disliking heat' and stop making it a problem in my day to day, I didn't succeed 100% but was better than past years

[2:34 PM]
adam Yes marlen - on one level, seeing Equality and Oneness in a positive light, or on another level, seeing beauty into things, on another level seeing the pervasion of laws of physics in the dimensions of things... and specifically with me walking the word Calm - seems to have opened up these points to look at...

[2:34 PM]
joekou and what i saw was that living words is something we always do - and some words we have lived for so long that it has become such a familiar part of ourselves that we don't question it until we really look at 'what am i mattering? how do i matter? what am i actually living?

[2:35 PM]
so sometimes we don't see what words we have embodied - until we ask the right questions :slightly_smiling_face:

[2:35 PM]
marlen ah I see @adam so kind of grounding the matter and seeing yourself as that matter, that part of the whole that is here as 'prime matter' to work with, to create with, to 'realign' and live in the way that's most supportive, then it stops being something positive or negative but just actual doings/words you can focus on as well

[2:36 PM]
yep those are the questions indeed joe, find them to be a 'shortcut' to see myself in the moment and so from there decide what I continue living as matter in that moment or what I can change instead

[2:38 PM]
viktorpersson So – do we have any practical examples of living matter? Here would be one: When I am at work and notice that I have a reaction towards a colleague or task – I can matter to myself by taking a moment – a couple of breaths – applying some genuine self-forgiveness and releasing the experience – before going back to work

[2:39 PM]
marlen how about then also deciding to live a word towards the colleague?

[2:39 PM]
viktorpersson Yes that would be supportive – to take that moment, select and then live a word as well

[2:40 PM]
marlen yep more sharings, even if they haven't been applied yet, seeing the potential of that change in the matter in the moment, sometimes I can experience a slight resistance to fully say what I'd like to express and in that moment in realizing 'the suppression' I decide to not 'live suppression' and instead express, little points of expansion

[2:40 PM]
joekou one thing i saw for myself was the point of CREATION - where i asked the question "how do i want to matter in this person's life?" - and here it wasn't about needing their approval or validation - it became about "What do i want to create as me, as matter - and how do i want my expression and creation of myself to be of benefit to another, as i would like done unto me?" - and it can start with something like taking the time to understand them, taking time to reach out and speak more, taking a moment to do that little bit of 'going the extra mile' - because that is how i want to matter in this person's world

[2:41 PM]
viktorpersson Nice

[2:41 PM]
joekou whereas before i may have done that with a starting point of wanting something BACK

[2:42 PM]
missing the point of creation and matter entirely. missing the fact of the matter

[2:42 PM]
viktorpersson Both points very practical and hands on – I like that question: How can I matter in this person's life? And then also bringing it back to self – how can this person matter in my life and in my relationship with myself?

[2:42 PM]
marlen I actually started looking a bit on the other direction @joekou because my focus was very much on 'how can I impact others' and in a way forgetting about me/myself as the core/matter of it all, so in my case and my process rather looking at removing 'the others' in the equation to then realize in fact that whatever I do for/as myself invariably also impacts/affects others, without me having to constantly see myself 'through others' eyes' so to speak

[2:42 PM]
joekou yes that is also a cool thing to look at viktorpersson

[2:43 PM]
cool marlen

[2:43 PM]
it is actually still the same direction ultimately lol

[2:44 PM]
marlen it is, approach changes, based on where each one is in their own process for sure

[2:44 PM]
tormod pushing several things as my future goals, and over all process it is cool to write out and re organize self to seee what elements are where. so to have matter to self, to have over view, and clarity. to find new words and grow and expand while being organized.. challenging !

[2:44 PM]
valentin.rozman Yes, it is important to be a MATTER for other people meaning a point of STABILITY, to be an example of solid substance that others can use to anchor themselves to in a stormy weather of life. So when others are emotionally disturbed to be calm and stable thus showing others how regardless of the events out there one is able to be quiet and peaceful within.

[2:44 PM]
joekou there are some new recordings that will cover some other points in regards to how to practically work with the "I matter" statement - very cool stuff there

[2:45 PM]
viktorpersson Cool

[2:45 PM]
joekou so be sure to keep an eye out for those - they will be part of the atlanteans series

[2:45 PM]
tormod they are out now .. 2of them

[2:45 PM]
joekou they get to the nitty gritty stuff

[2:45 PM]
ah cool tormod - so yes everyone be sure to check those out

[2:46 PM]
tormod lol... deffinatly

[2:46 PM]
viktorpersson And the two initial recordings are part of the Eqafe promotion campaign – so they are open for blogs

[2:46 PM]
tormod yes be sure to check the mail from Kristina !

[2:47 PM]
joekou yes cool reminder for everyone - you can take what you saw/opened up from those recordings and make a vlog, blog, picture - anything

[2:47 PM]
marlen yep, will do

[2:47 PM]
viktorpersson I am definitely going to blog on this topic

[2:47 PM]
joekou and as we saw here tonight everyone has a unique take on it

[2:48 PM]
so plenty to share

[2:48 PM]
tormod hihihi... matter is here so why not lol

[2:48 PM]

[2:49 PM]
joekou awesome interviews, those.

[2:49 PM]
valentin.rozman The matter is unlimited source of all kinds of expression

[2:49 PM]
adam Purpose Has Left the Building! Great title lol

[2:49 PM]
viktorpersson Yes

[2:50 PM]
joekou Discover why purpose leaving the building is actually a good thing :slightly_smiling_face:

[2:50 PM]
What is left when there is no purpose given to you?

[2:50 PM]
What moves you when there is no greater reason out there somewhere?

[2:50 PM]
Can you... possibly... be reason enough?

[2:51 PM]
marlen lol! good cliff hangers

[2:51 PM]
it's right beneath our nose

[2:52 PM]
joekou find your purpose once and for all

[2:52 PM]
never again wonder 'what is my purpose' or 'what should i do'

[2:53 PM]
viktorpersson Yes – nice to not have to think about that anymore

[2:53 PM]
marlen yeah that's a cool way to look at it, whenever 'wondering' about it, what do we know? we are not giving ourselves direction to actually use the matter that's here to do/be/live what we want to be/live/express

[2:53 PM]
joekou are these statements just advertising blurbs, or have we actually answered the age old question "what is the meaning of life"?

[2:53 PM]
wonder/wander

[2:53 PM]
meaning/meandering

[2:54 PM]
what will you do with all your adventuring gear when the quest for the meaning of life finally ends?

[2:55 PM]
viktorpersson burn it

[2:55 PM]
:slightly_smiling_face:

[2:55 PM]
Okay I am going to chillax a little now with Lora and co

[2:56 PM]
joekou enjoy viktorpersson

[2:56 PM]
viktorpersson bye and thanks for the chat!

[2:56 PM]
joekou alright all - let's bring it to a close here

[2:56 PM]
tormod thanks all #imatter

[2:56 PM]
joekou cool sharing, everyone!

[2:57 PM]
marlen yep, cool stuff guys, see you around ! thanks
