Yes as Maya said, that's a decision one can only make for oneself. Some people work and study, others have children and full time jobs. Others do not. So it's definitely possible even with a tight schedule - however a point to consider is that the DIP is a decision of dedication to YOU that only you can make for yourself.Patrick wrote:I was thinking about this again. Don't these write-ups really require a lot of time? I have quite a tight schedule with studying and working part time and am out of the house nearly all day. Also, how much time are you expected to invest every day into course work?
That is entirely up to you, your self-honesty and your practical living situation.
I realise this question is subjective but perhaps some of the people here that are actually walking the process right now can tell me their experiences, I mean how much time they invest each day into the DIP on average?

Re: question about desteni course
Also to consider Patrick, I have found with having set responsibilities each day with the writing and the points that go along with that, actually made me more diligent, self disciplined, and able to manage my priorities within the time/physical limitations that I was in more effectively, where in before process started, I would make excuses, and get half of what i was capable barely complete. At this time, I have two full time jobs, working in the days everyday and a night job, as well as participating fully with desteni, which is a few hours at least a day, also i have a pup, and just general living responsibilities that take up time, so I found that it's more about who you are within what it is you are living and for what purposes. Obviously with the state of the world, we need humans to wake up and walk a self purification process so we can stand in positions to direct life to become harmonious and supportive for all as well as being examples for those yet to come.Patrick wrote:I was thinking about this again. Desteni gives us the opportunity to walk this as a practical process to change our living to be a support for self as well as the rest of this world. Each moment we are deciding who we are, so it's really a question to ask yourself, who are you with the time you were given here as a gift that is life itself? I suggest make the most of it and walk your process the best you are able to. Where there is a will, there is a way is cool words to support self as well.
Re: question about desteni course
Thank you all for your insight and perspective on this. I'm really impressed by how dedicated the people here on this forum are and how kindly and willingly they offer support. I really appreciate it.
One further question that popped up before I decide to register for the course was if it's better to choose either a male or a female buddy. From experience (school, work etc.) I know that I often work better with a female, but on the other hand my self exploration might involve sensitive topics of a personal matter which I might feel more comfortable sharing with another male. Any advice on this?
Also, I was wondering if there is any way to contact a potential buddy (once I have a quite definite idea who it could be) and ask him/her if he'd like to walk with me before I sign up. I don't really feel comfortable with picking someone from a list without at least some short previous contact. I can't find any PM function on this forum so I don't really know how I can get in touch with anyone "more privately".

Re: question about desteni course
Most of the DIP Buddies are on Facebook -- you could look up their name there and send them a message.
Re: question about desteni course
Thanks for the suggestion, but I don't have a facebook account (and don't want one either; I think facebook is one of the most unnecessary things ever invented). Any other possibilities, is there a PM function that I overlooked somewhere?
And any input on my male/female buddy question?
Thanks for your support, I hope to be able to enroll for the course begining with October. Looking forward to it already

Re: question about desteni course
I used to think that facebook was 'one of the most unnecessary things ever invented' as well - I didn't start an account until I had been walking with Desteni for awhile and got to see for myself how it is actually a cool tool in terms of networking and sharing the Desteni message. So, something to consider - wherein we put down the judgments we may have and instead do what we see is best to expand ourselves in all points so as to assist and support as many others as we may be able to, especially through the internet, which creates then a 'presence' as a group.Patrick wrote:Thanks for the suggestion, but I don't have a facebook account (and don't want one either; I think facebook is one of the most unnecessary things ever invented). There is not a PM function on this forum.
In terms of male/female buddying: that is for you to decide, there is no prescribed method that we use, so simply take all the points of which you already started exploring here and from there determine what would be best. Also, you don't have to pick a buddy yourself, you can leave that part blank and we can select one for you, taking availability as well as the points you have discussed here into consideration.
Re: question about desteni course
In addition to what Lindsay said -- you are required to submit a facebook profile link upon DIP registration, so I really suggest you look at your judgments/beliefs in relation to facebook and create an account.
In the meantime you can send me an email with who it is you would like to contact [[email protected]] and I will provide you with their contact details.

Re: question about desteni course
For what purpose? I only want to sign up as a client, not as an agent or recruiter. I don't see myself as a "big message spreader".you are required to submit a facebook profile link upon DIP registration, so I really suggest you look at your judgments/beliefs in relation to facebook and create an account.
Re: question about desteni course
its a regulation that we have placed to make sure there is no abuse in the DIP system. but if you don't have face book account, we will consider your request.
Re: question about desteni course
What kind of abuse do you mean? I might consider opening an account when I'm some time in the course already if I see a good reason to do so. Pardon me for saying this, but just the fact that something is "regulated" is for me not yet a specific reason to comply if I don't understand the deeper motives behind the regulation. I don't mean to get too philosophical here but I believe one of the main things in the world today that keeps people from being free is the fact that there are loads of (often small) regulations that people are expected to follow without any further explanation...its a regulation that we have placed to make sure there is no abuse in the DIP system.
Edit: This comment is not meant to sound too critical, it's just a thought that came into my mind when I read your replies.
