A few points to take into consideration
Within this statement, you have not seen that you are the one who accepted and allowed yourself to suppress things that you know because of fear and the urge to have experiences.Elin Liss wrote:I forgive myself for suppressing things that I know because of fear and because of an urge to have experiences.
Furthermore, I suggest to look at the wording “I know” because Knowing isn’t Realizing. Knowing is based on knowledge and information according to definitions that we’ve attached value to. Like, let’s say: “I know that I need to write self forgiveness”. But WHY it is suggested to apply Self Forgiveness? When one see and understand the starting point of doing something, through investigating whether or not this particular point (like here, apply self forgiveness) is standing as the principle of what is best for all. Then, self realization emerges.
Last, I suggest to investigate the origin/core point of why and how you design yourself to want to have experiences. What kind of experiences, who will you be when walking those experiences?
What value have you assign to those experiences?
You see, here, you have defined party as a perfect place to be a moron which means that you judge self expression as being something that only morons can do in a specific place like a party.Elin Liss wrote:a party is a place where people allow them self to be morons so that is a perfect place to practice
Thus, have a look at the judgement you have placed with self expression and the association thereof with a party. Expressing ourselves is not limited to a party – it is who we are in every moment without the limitation of the mind that tells us what we should or shouldn’t express.
I would say that a cool place to start is with yourself – put some music on, dance, express yourself and practice breathing. If any back chat comes up, note it down and apply SF immediately. Take a close look at your body, the movement – who is moving the body? You as a directive principle or the mind through judgement?
A party is also a cool place to test one’s application. I went with MayaR couple of years ago to a party when we were no longer consuming alcohol or drugs. I remember telling her on our way home that I would never imagine to have so much fun without alcohol. It was the first time that I really enjoyed myself and danced and expressed while letting go the constant judgement that usually go away only when I was drunk. When and as a thought/judgement came up, I immediately applied SF, brought myself back here, to my physical human body, breathed and express myself again.
Ok, Thanks for sharing Elin.
