Waking up Rested
Waking up Rested
I would like to know what your perspectives are on waking up rested - is it a real thing/can it be a real thing or is that when the mind systems have upgraded?

Re: Waking up Rested
I have found my morning states of waking up is pretty random. Sometimes if I get 5 or 6 hours sleep I feel great for 2 mornings, but the 3rd morning I'm like the walking dead. Sometimes I get 7 or 8 hours sleep and I wake up heavy.
Having said that, what works for me is to set my alarm 10 - 20 minutes before I need to get up, give myself a few minutes to lie in bed, but once I'm up I move myself around - eg I go to feed the horses and the cats, clean a stable, etc. As I am moving through my morning "routine" I wake up and by the time I'm done I am feeling awake and peppy and ready to rumble

Re: Waking up Rested
There are a lot of different factors/reasons for how one wakes up. For example, if you are deep in emotion, lets say guilt or shame, all day yesterday and when you wake up, that emotion is still there and it weighs you down. Another factor can be physical strain, like you worked all day yesterday 14 hours, and you had little breaks or rest and you ate very little. That can also lead to feeling tired waking up the next day. So just like anything in process, your experience of yourself can be affected by who you are in your mind level, and what you body goes through on a physical level. As you can imagine, and perhaps have already lived some times: where you are stable physically, and mentally/emotionally... you may have some morning where you wake up fine. But at the same time, process right now is not meant to be a stable smooth ride, because that is not our reality both as who we are and in physical reality. There will be unexpected points, as well as personal processes that need to be walked. This will have affects on how you sleep.
So to answer your question, it does exist.
Now, a question that I see may be hidden within your question is whether having FEELINGS and positive experience lead to an experience of waking up rested. Yes, I have experience that. Where its a positive part of the mind that makes ones feel good. This isn't something stable of course because its based on the mind.
Now, another question that a person could have here is whether you can somehow live/create waking up rested. So there is an element here of where you decide who you are in the moment. That always exist in every moment. So you can will yourself, move yourself, as a kind of positivity. This here you can make it practical by using words that work for you. For me the word embrace the moment, embrace the day, and embrace myself supports in the waking up process. Also even pretending I only have today to LIVE. So that supports within waking up WELL. I would not focus on waking up RESTED. I would focus on living waking up WELL. Because you can't always control how rested you were during sleep, because maybe you are forced to wake up early or forced to sleep late, but you can control HOW you wake up through self-movement.

Re: Waking up Rested
I've found that whenever I don't work on a point that I have built up throughout the day - or days, or weeks! - meaning in my mind, no matter how many hours I get from sleep, I will wake up feeling like I 'would like to sleep more' anyways.
So in my case and based on the physical activities I have - which is of basic exercise, nothing too exhausting - it usually means I have been putting pressure on my physical body through my participation in thoughts, emotions, feelings that I have kept 'swirling' around in my head without giving them direction.
This applies on the relationship with myself or with others/any other point or situation I haven't yet stood in a directive principle in it.
Therefore when leaving points to 'lag' within me - not directing them, not writing it all out, not self-forgiving myself for them all - then this can cause such 'morning tiredness' as well. It's like an 'unfinished point' that I allowed to accumulate from one day to the next without solution, without direction, which takes a toll on the body.
So I've found that through taking the points on 'as they emerge' and even if If I cannot create an immediate solution, but I make sure I do take the first steps as in making a decision to sort it out, I can definitely be more comfortable with myself in being able to sleep and so wake up fresh, clear.
Test all these points out, there's very cool physical feedback and mind aspects to look at in this thread.
