How can individual strengths be utilized in an EMS?

Post by Anna »

Brian Colquhoun asks:

Isn't this assuming equal abilities? One who practices law (and is successful at it) usually has the correct mind frame. How would that be dealt with?

A more pertinent example is that of scientists. I'm fortunate enough to be relatively skilled in thinking the right way in this area, but many people can't grasp mathematics or conceptualise the non-intuitive areas of reality (and conversely I don't have the skills of, say, an architect or the built - or drive - to do any manual work). Is there a proposal as to how to exploit individual strengths in a society of this sort? How will science, or law, or architecture be done when many people inherently lack the ability or enthusiasm?

My reply:

Cool question. The basic principle of an Equal Money System, is that what is best for all, at a physical, practical and mathematical level, is that from which all decisions regarding the world are made. So for example: We determine that it is best for all that everyone has clean drinking water and that all water on earth is thus clean - then we can look at who is best at ensuring this will come about and which solutions will be the best to implement to make that happen.

It is also about self-expression, where you are perhaps educated to be good at science, but if your actual passion is to play music, you will not dedicate yourself to perfect yourself completely in science. This is how the world works now where people are forced to take educations and jobs they have absolutely no passion for and in turn end up only caring about the money and the status and not perfecting themselves or their work or even supporting what is best for all. So if you are good at science, if you enjoy doing it and perfecting yourself within it and lets say that you have a passion for water-purification solutions, you would be perfect for a position in that area.

It will be best for all, because you are the best at what you do and it will be best for all, because it is best for you too. Imagine if those who are really passionate about science could be able to work with solutions and not be restricted by policies that only serve to feed the greedy with profit. Currently each exists within a pre-determined mind-frame according to genetics and educational level - So it is not about equal abilities, because we don't need 7 billion lawyers - instead it could be cool that those who enjoy and are good at something have the opportunity to work in a field, yet where everyone has an equal opportunity, because education has been equalized.

I would also point out that the studies of law, economics and science at this moment are very much tainted by capitalism wherein the way the world really works in terms of practical consequences of our actions here is disregarded as all studies are basically grounded on sustaining an essentially flawed and non common-sensical system - therefore at this point not even the educated ones, the scientists, lawyers, judges, not even the teachers and politicians are aware of what is really going on in this world - which is clearly indicated by the fact that no politician has come up with actual sustainable answers, and when one does, the rest of them simply ignore him/her, and by the fact that our children are being taught to simply accept what is being presented to them without question instead of being taught to individually stand as a point of responsibility in this world within the realization that every single part in this existence is interconnected, therefore it is imperative that each part is aware of exactly what needs to be done and why so that this world my exist in dignity (which it is not at this point).

The need for 'enthusiasm' is a product of our current society wherein most simply don't see the point of their existence or of this entire system, as this current system is so abusive and children are not educated properly as to how everything truly works so that each of them may take responsibility for existence. We are basically being taught to 'sit back' and let our lives be led, all we have to do is do our homework, work for school, maybe even get a higher degree, go to university to eventually work, have children, get married, etc...

So, the point here again is education - wherein children need to be taught/shown that they are in fact the point of responsibility for what is here, no less or more than any other being - they are the creators of 'the purpose of life' (whereas at the moment, 'the purpose of life' seems to be somewhere 'out there' that we must 'fulfill' to be a 'good person' for other beings - hence the need for enthusiasm and motivation as having a reason to want to be 'a good person' within/for society) and in that they are each responsible to create a heaven on earth for all life. So, if one look at the current reality, and especially the way adults like parents and teachers communicate with their children and at the kind of beings the children of this society become, we see clearly that there is no sense of self-responsibility or even respect for this existence what so ever, which is the 'sins of the fathers' simply being passed down from generation to generation, only perpetuating the ignorance and destructive nature of mankind.
