DAY 331: 6 - DISCOVERING YOUR POTENTIAL TAKES TIME
http://www.matterfreeman.com/2016/09/da ... ntial.html

Part 6 of how my Education Shaped my Career Path. Here sharing more about my first sales experiences, the pain of change, and how getting involved in something completely outside of my comfort zone had supported in discovering more natural skills and strengths that I hadn't seen before.

What if survival and access to all the support we need was a guaranteed human right, and the education system was based on supporting each child to develop a confident character with high self esteem, free to explore different kinds of projects and participation during their formative and adolescent years in order to discover where and how they can make a satisfying contribution to the world?

How many people's potential contribution has been compromised through developing a character that is not effective in practical reality?

Day 332: Living the gifts of your unique circumstance
http://www.matterfreeman.com/2016/10/da ... nique.html

With the access we have to other people's live through social media, it's very easy to get caught up in comparing your life to another's; in particular those who we see as being more successful, more effective, more happy, more free - the list goes on. Within this it's very easy to form ideas about what you 'should' have, or what your life is 'supposed to look like', and then judge what you have as 'not enough', or 'not good enough'. This can lead to us missing out on the gifts and opportunities we in fact DO have in our unique life circumstance.

How can you benefit from identifying and accepting the gifts of your unique life circumstance, and letting go of comparison?

Day 333: Redefining Words: Patience and Impatience
http://www.matterfreeman.com/2016/10/da ... e-and.html

I was inspired by the Reptilian series interview about Patience, to investigate the word Patience for myself and redefine it.

You can hear the interview here:
Patience: A Patient of… - Reptilians - Part 546
https://eqafe.com/p/patience-a-patient- ... s-part-546

So, let's look at Patience.

It seems that Patience goes hand in hand with Impatience.

When I look at the word Impatient, some interesting things emerge:

I'm Patient -- I'm Pace - I am Pace -- I am this Pace, I am the Patient of MY Pace -- that would be where I'm Tying and restricting myself - as in a straight jacket that a Mental Patient wears, lol, to the Pace that I AM defining myself and the moment according to. And, this would thus be why when I'm 'Impatient' - it feels like 'I'm being held back' by the current circumstance / time frame which, is not aligning to 'My Time Frame'.

So, to live Patience practically in physical space and time where - things can happen that are not planned, would be the following:

Pacing myself to the Pace of what is possible within the current Space Time moment through adapting, adjusting, changing, letting go of my preferred, planned, or anticipated time-frame for reaching / creating a given goal, responsibility, outcome, need, or want.

This gives me the framework for identifying the WHY within the experience of impatience. For instance, identifying - what is the need, want, outcome, preference, goal related to the moment, and what is the Time Frame I have defined it within, which is causing the experience of being held back / impatience.

In assisting and supporting myself to live Patience within and as this new definition, I prevent Impatience - I prevent myself from becoming the patient of the moment.

Of course within this, it's also to realize that I can still push myself to move faster / more effectively / find shorter routes to goals, etc - but the emotional / inner friction experience of Impatience is actually not required for this, because it's a matter of Self Honestly assessing the situation / factors involved in a time frame, and identifying where / how more effective actions / self movement is possible to 'speed things up'.

And the key is Breathing, because you cannot do more than what you can do one breath at a time!

Enjoy

Day 336: Genuine Self Expression vs. Social Survival
http://www.matterfreeman.com/2016/10/da ... on-vs.html

Sharing my realization of how, when those little moments come up where I'll worry what others might think about me / how they might judge me - I'm not standing within my Genuine Self Expression.

Where in your own life do you see yourself accessing the fear of not being socially accepted / worrying what others might think about you? What words can you re-define in a way that supports you to develop your Genuine Self Expression?

I'll be sharing more posts giving perspective on my process with changing myself from interacting with others through personalities / copied behavior and expressions, to developing my natural, genuine self expression which is still something I'm substantiating myself as in my daily living and interaction with others.

Day 337: How Dogs Assisted Me to Expand my Self Expression
http://www.matterfreeman.com/2016/11/da ... xpand.html

Sharing about how spending time with dogs during a particular period living with friends in South Africa assisted me to expand my self expression.

Are you uncomfortable around dogs? Are you afraid to get dirty, or 'let down your guard'?

What kind of programming can dogs assist you to see in yourself?

Day 339: Body Insecurity 2 - What Purpose Have You Given Your Body?
http://www.matterfreeman.com/2016/11/da ... rpose.html

Part 2, sharing more about my process of changing my relationship with my body from that of a symbol, to that of a vehicle for my Genuine Self Expression.

Have you defined what purpose your body has?

Do you see your body as a way to achieve some goal of having a positive experience for yourself such as 'I am attractive', 'I am sexy', 'I am beautiful', 'I am fashionable'?

Are you obsessed about wishing / wanting to change your appearance so that you can 'get' these positive experiences? Is that the real purpose of having a body?

The key to stopping body insecurity is to look at what Experiences you are holding onto as wants and desires, that you "want your appearance to give you", and give those wants up, to make space for being able to embrace yourself within your body and Honor your body as a gift to support your Genuine Self Expression.

Day 340: Considering My Unique Strengths and Weaknesses when Redefining Words
http://www.matterfreeman.com/2016/11/da ... ngths.html

Do you struggle with redefining words? For me, the key to more effectively redefining words in a way I can actually apply in daily living, was realizing that words need to be specific to my unique strengths and weaknesses, instead of being too general or idealized.
