This part of the code defines the width and height of the image:

height="86" width="262"

The other buttons on your blogger are 60 by 200

So you can either change the height and width in the code to 60 and 200 (just change the numbers in the code), but then the image may look a bit weird because it's not the same ratio, and otherwise you can change the width to 200 but the height to 65 -- like that the ratio will remain intact and be the same width as the other guys

Adding a Twitter Feed to your Blog
This Function also allows people to Follow you on Twitter

• Log in to your blogger dashboard [http://www.blogger.com/home]
• Go to your blogger menu and press ‘layout’
• This page gives you a structural layout of what your blog looks like
• Press on “Add a Gadget” where you would want the feed to be positioned
• A new window opens up with gadget options, select the one that says HTML/JavaScript

• Sign into Twitter
• Go to your Settings [the little wheel logo]
• Select Widgets
• Press 'Create New'
• Play with the settings to get the feed you like
• Press 'Create Widget'
• Copy the HTML Code and Paste it into the HTML Gadget from your Blog
• Save
• Done!

I've just added several buttons to my blog and I found out a couple of things:
- for Wordpress blogs there is no need to use the <table> code It is enough to paste the link in a text widget:

Code: Select all

<a href="http://lite.desteniiprocess.com//"><img src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-Kp2LmxAykKI/UImsc_BRQpI/AAAAAAAABuk/NyMcu5y3xeM/s1600/DIPLite.png" alt="DIP Lite" width="200" height="60" longdesc="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-Kp2LmxAykKI/UImsc_BRQpI/AAAAAAAABuk/NyMcu5y3xeM/s1600/DIPLite.png" /></a>

You can add several buttons in the same text widget. This code is copied from the code that was posted by Leila on October 25th 2012. I only changed the Alt text since it stated alt="Heaven's journey to life" instead of DIP Lite.

Another comment on the source of these images used for the buttons. They all link to images loaded on a specific blogspot blog (I suppose Leila's). If for some reason this blog is not accessible anymore or images are altered or deleted it will cause all buttons of people having copied these codes to have links with no images. I therefore suggest to make the images available on a 'safe' location, that could be one of the servers hosting the Desteni sites. Something for Robert? We will have to change our codes again but at least the source of the images is stable.

I've opened a new blog on blogger and I've tried adding the codes you've shared here Leila for sharing and following. But they're not showing up on my blog page.

Is there a step I've missed or something? I copy/pasted the html code from the post into a html widget in blogger. It's still not showing up. Any suggestions?

Hi Anna, in my previous post I am specifically explaining how to deal with the scripts for wordpress blogs, not for blogger blogs. I have no experience with blogger, I guess you need to add the <table> </table> code to your script to have it working.

Hi Pieter. Yes I was also referring to Leila's posts with codes, so not yours. I've copied/pasted them exactly as per Leila's instructions which is why I don't understand why they're not working. I'll keep trying - thanks!

Re: Getting the Most out of Blogging

I've opened up my new blog at blogger: http://teachersjourneytolife.blogspot.com/

I want to make the main posting area the same as the background similar to how it is on Malin's blog. I've not no idea what has gone wrong. Anyways - so I've been trying changing it through the 'advanced' settings, through the CSS codes, through the HTML code and no matter what I do, the posting area just remains white with odd line breaks.

Can anyone assist please?

*Edited to add that Juan helped me and it had to do with a Zemanta app I was using in Firefox*
