We all have moments of weakness. Moments of failures. Moments of mistakes. Moments where we are not the best versions of ourselves. We all do it - so why do we hold these moments against each other - and more importantly - against ourselves?

Sometimes we hold on to one moment of weakness that we see in another person or in ourselves and that becomes the only thing that we see. Cerise and Joe #getreal with why this limits not only the person we judge, but also ourselves.

I have never been an emotional person. I seldom have difficulty getting out of emotional experiences. However I have seen that I react to other people when they are in emotional states. When I come across someone who is stuck in an emotional pattern, I feel physically repelled and want to get away as quickly as possible. This is not how I want to respond to someone who needs support, so I am practicing living a different way of dealing with my relationship with emotions, especially when other people are involved.

Why should I make an effort to be a better person when other people don't?

What is the point of having to be a better person if other people aren't willing to do the same? Cerise Poolmanand Joe Kou #getreal with why this excuse is lame and what it means to live with purpose.

Sometimes the path ahead is not clear, we do not necessarily know the way to go, and sometimes not even where - but as we start taking steps towards getting there, the way becomes clearer - even if it becomes clearer that it's not the way we want to go.

I have been walking a process of not waiting for someone else, or for the right circumstances before doing something, and here I share where I'm at with that.

Relationships are often the thing that change our lives in significant ways, and a lot of the time we lose sight of who we are and the principles we stand for in favour of the relationship becoming our entire lives. That doesn't mean that we have to live this way - we can create a balance and use our experiences in relationships to reflect on who we are and what we may not have dealt with effectively in the past.

We have the tendency to want one simple answer to complex questions. Why does poverty exist? How do we solve it? Why do people get depressed? What's wrong with the education system? But what we find is that there is never only one, simple answer to anything. Everything in this life and in ourselves is interconnected and not so black and white.

For everyone that has been searching for the ONE true answer and solution to their problems - whether they be personal or global in nature, Cerise Poolman and Joe Kou are glad to announce your search is finally over. #getreal has the ONE ANSWER that you've been needing.

We don't know how we're going to deal with a situation we've never faced before, until we actually face it. We can however prepare ourselves to face any and all situations with calm, clarity and stability.

Have you ever had someone in your life that you severely, intensely dislike, but you don't really know why. All you know is that you hate their face and want to smash it when you see them. Are we being honest with ourselves, or are we hiding behind a veil of ignorance so that we don't have to face seeing what that person is reflecting about who we are? Have you ever wanted to just start over with a blank slate? I am sure we all have. I know I have. We create lives that we end up hating, but we fail to see that we have been the creator all along, so we think that changing the physical circumstances will be enough for us to live some new and improved versions of ourselves. We are our own makers.

Often we imagine ourselves able to create a whole new life and become a whole new person like a phoenix rising from the ashes. Cerise Poolman and Joe Kou #getreal with why Self-Creation doesn't work like that and how to REALLY create a new you.

Desteni was established 10 years ago. I have been part of the creation since the beginning, and I am proud to still stand as a Destonian.
