unfortunately i have to conclude that self forgiveness is completely useless for me, I just do it.

Jorn, self-forgiveness is not a 'cure' as something that either works or doesn't work. If self-forgiveness 'doesn't work' for you, if it is 'useless' it is because you haven't actually forgiven yourself. So then a question would be: what is it that you are not forgiving? What is it that you refuse to forgive? And what would happen if you actually were to forgive yourself?
