Question about inserting blog on forum

Hi Everyone -

I've noticed that one can have a link to their blog on their post and also the blog itself in its entirety on their post for Journey to Life blogs.

How do you do that?

Hi Christine,

In the Journey to Life section we usually just copy/paste the title, the link and the content of the blog to share the post on the forum. If you're referring to having your blog-link always posted at the bottom of each post you make - this you do through placing in a signature.

Click on 'User Control Panel' underneath 'Board Index' -> then click 'Profile' -> then click 'Edit signature'. Place the link to your blog in the text-box and click 'submit'.

Hi Maite,

Thanks for your response and the added info on my signature.

I'm referring to when I copy and paste my link onto the forum only the link appears and not the content of the blog, as I see on other members forum sites, and would like to do the same.

So, how do I get the content of my blog to appear on the forum? It doesn't look like others have retyped it , so any feedback would be great.

Hi Christine,

It won't appear by itself. The link it's just the URL that takes us to your blog.

If you want to have your blog/text/writing On the forum, you have to

1.Select the text on your blog

2.Click on the right button of your mouse, select 'copy'

3. Then you come to the forum when you have your 'reply' window in your blog-thread

4. You place the cursor in the text section of the post, click the right button of your mouse and select 'paste' -
that's what we mean by 'copy-paste' - which is copying the text from your blog to the forum.

Otherwise it won't appear just by placing the link.

So, just like you copy paste the link, you can select the text - this is dragging your mouse while clicking covering all your text, and pasting it on your reply-post as usual.

I just tried it , but nothing's working, so I'm going to keep at it and I'm having my computer tutor coming over soon, and I'll have him read what you wrote, as he will probably already know how to do it anyway but can show me too.
