Hi everyone

Hi everyone

Postby NickKnight » 22 Jul 2012, 21:51

Hello, my name is Nick, I'm 17 years old, I'm from North America, and I am now joining Desteni. I am committed to breaking my unnecessary character that i have allowed myself to be, for what is best for my human family. I have just recently discovered the deception of emotions, and have found it difficult to take on every day responsibilities due to the distraction from the fear of having to let go of this character that i have created, but it is a responsibility that i have to accept in order to live life being here as a physical person, and unconditionally caring for everyone and everything on this earth. Regardless of my awakening, I have lived my whole life in midland, Texas. As a child I always enjoyed being outside, and listening to music. Many musicians (who mostly played guitar) came to my school and played for us, which I could see why I have enjoyed playing the acoustic guitar for the past 6 years. It is certainly hard to let go of this because i've accepted and allowed it to be an illusion of something that i can escape to, and to fulfill my emotions in creating music, or covering other artists music, but playing an instrument isn't a necessity of life. I am grateful for desteni allowing me to join, and can't wait to walk this journey to life with all of you.

Hi Nick!

Welcome to the forums, cool that you've decided to participate here

Suggest reading through the Writing Yourself to Freedom and Self-Forgiveness forums in order to see how we apply ourselves and share what we go living and realizing through applying the tools.

Playing guitar is not something to 'give up,' it's a matter of realizing and understanding who we are within playing guitar, which is something that you can write out for yourself: all the definitions, ideas, beliefs about yourself and playing guitar - it's a cool topic to begin with in order to start developing common sense in terms of what is considering what's best for all in everything we are and do.

Enjoy participating and standing up for Life

Hi Nick - welcome here!

As you begin to apply yourself consistently within writing, self-forgiveness and self-correction you will start to stabilize yourself in terms of your recent discovery of the the deception of emotions. Indeed, it can be pretty shocking at first, when we begin to realize that we've been existing within an illusory bubble as just a character in our own mind-movie - thus, you will see how writing and self-forgiveness will be your anchors to keep you here, applying yourself breath by breath. Realize, you've always been existing within the fear you're currently experiencing, you've just created characters and developed coping mechanisms throughout your life to suppress the fear, to not have to face and deal with the fear, and now that you're beginning to stop and deprogram those points, the fear will SEEM more extensive - so take things slowly, step by step, it's going to take time some time to step out of character - so keep things practical in terms of your daily responsibilities, and allow yourself to discover yourself again in each moment wherein YOU decide who you will be, not the character - this definitely includes re-discovering yourself through music, and as such playing guitar can be a very cool physical way to ground yourself here, practice breathing and voicing yourself as a physical self-expression.

Hi Nick,

Cool introduction and after reading it I too wanted to reiterate the difference between expressing yourself and being a character that expresses himself. A character has an agenda, a story, a motive...and after Marlen and Lindsay's cool posts this point has been well clarified. There is such a strong tendency within the organic robot to make 'meaning' and create mini=religions resulting in a subtle plays of separation from the Life that is Here. We are here to support each other as All of Us are new to this.

Hi Nick.

Cool that you are here. Very cool support here by Lindsay, Marlen and Jeanne. It is not about stopping playing music - in fact at Desteni there are lots of musicians who's dedicated themselves to step of of the "musician character" and step into a self-expression of playing music.

Suggest to check out this Facebook group where we share music produced by Destonians regularly: Music for Equality
On Eqafe there's also loads of cool music to download.

it is a responsibility that i have to accept in order to live life being here as a physical person, and unconditionally caring for everyone and everything on this earth.

YES! Well said.

Enjoy the forum!
