Re: Polygamy and the sorts

Re: Am I raising a wimp?

It would be awesome if you could write a book or even a manual lol Cerise based on your experiences. agreed :) Terhas, it is impossible to compare my childhood and teenage years to what any other child goes through, so it is inevitable that you will face challenges that I never went through simply ...

Re: Am I raising a wimp?

So as long as we are coming from any point of reaction, energy, fear, judgment, control, manipulation, force, we really can't expect to be heard or trusted or reacted to rationally. It's like expecting another to do something we aren't even doing ourself. Like - I expect you to ignore what I am par...

Re: Am I raising a wimp?

he would make us aware of what the consequences of certain choices would be (especially in my "teenage years") but still (mostly) allow us to make the choice for ourselves. Most of this is relevant to "older" children, but some of the principles apply to all walks of life. this is a point i am havi...

Re: Am I raising a wimp?

@Lana: Bernard did not explain in detail how he was mirroring his children's emotions, but I reckon that if they screamed and whined, he'd do the same. That's how I would go about it, show the child how ridiculous and unacceptable their behaviour is, show the "Don't do to another what you don't wan...

Re: Am I raising a wimp?

this really is an amazing thread guys. such support and all around consideration via tons of perspectives. cool stuff. What I suggest in relation to reading books with Noa, you might try books with him about big bellies and having a new baby brother or sister, if that's what he likes to talk about. ...

Re: Am I raising a wimp?

so today I realized that I am actually afraid of being to strict. I can remember my own emotions and fears as a little child and there is also the point that noa was so thin when he was born and I felt very guilty, cause my body did not produce a "fat=healthy" baby. I was crying for two weeks, caus...
