After reading the short article linked above, I Wikipedia-searched 'the pillars of hercules'- very interesting symbology. Like, The dollar symbol is based in the characteristically capitalist 'drive/ compulsion' to 'push the limits of reality in pursuit of wealth and fame', and is based in the very ideology which led to the indegenous american genocide.
