bird attacking mirror window

A bird is attacking the window at our work site. The window looks like a mirror from the outside. It has the nest on a tree pretty close to the window, and it does this everyday.

I searched online and it looks this is a common behavior, the explanation online is that they are defending their territory, they saw their own image in the mirror, and think that is another bird. Is this real? I am only asking because it does not make sense to me, cause the bird do this many times a day, i just find it is hard to wrap my mind around the fact that they don't know there is a physical wall/barrier there. Anyway i can assist? Note that this is a window at my office, not my private property.

Hi Zhe Liu, I once worked in an office building where on all windows they had pasted black silhouettes of flying birds on the outside. I figured this was done so that the outside birds would realise that there was a window or in any case an actual obstacle and so they would not fly in the windows. This was done by the owner of the buidling from which the company was renting the office spaces. Perhaps this is something you can bring up or suggest? Alternatively, if your employer is ok with that, you could also test the point by cutting a bird silhouette from black paper and sticking it to the window (from the inside) and see how the birds respond to it?
