i remember when i was 15, (just to use this as an example), and i tried working as a buss boy at a resturant. i started getting very overwehmled, where i felt i absolutely could not continue, to the point of crying to the manager..
so ive had these experiences, and its followed me, where i have this mental pattern, that i just absolutely cannot take the situation in hand without being overwhelmed. the feeling makes me isolate and try to cacoon, to the point where i fidget, where im rubing my hands, looking away from people, like i just cant hide because im out in the open and everyone notices and critics and judge me, where to my experience it feels very uncomfortable and trying to escape and be with myself and isolated.
so i have different reasons of how i experience that sensation when around others. obviously breathing and using self forgiving, but even this doesnt budge the "uncontrollable" rigidness, and where i can handle the situation... usually when i try to get through it, i just let it happen, i try to use self affirming statements to make it more comfortable, but with these two options usually they are broken where i therefor feel uncomfortable, the similar experience when i tried working at the resturant.
ive opened this point up multiple times, but have yet to really discover what to do, so that in pressuring situations i can get through it, and mentally rcover to continue taking on m responsibilities.
how to work through being under pressure
Re: how to work through being under pressure
How about carrying a small notebook with you in which you can write down Keywords for yourself, for instance you simply 'name' the emtions you are experiencing - and you train yourself to do this 'quickly' - you look at the point you are experiencing and you bullet point down the 'emotions' that you can see within yourself and try to be as specific as you can.Nicklk1795 wrote: ↑31 Aug 2021, 03:07 i remember when i was 15, (just to use this as an example), and i tried working as a buss boy at a resturant. i started getting very overwehmled, where i felt i absolutely could not continue, to the point of crying to the manager..
