Sexual union is impossible between same sex partners.
The fact that this topic is so popular is yet another indication
Of how illiterate and degraded humanity has become.
A marriage is a legal agreement. It doesn't have anything to do with sexuality. People can be married and not have sex. I am not sure what you mean by a 'sexual union' but surely two people of the same gender can have sex. They simply can't reproduce.

There is vegetative reproduction, cloning, asexual reproduction, cell mitosis, and there is sexual reproduction of a species. Sex is a biological term. In botany, a self pollinating flower is define as asexual, and vegetative reproduction is a plant or a forest spreading at its root stock; rhizomes, tubers sprout into clone plants. Sexual reproduction is the creation of a new, unique, individual life form of a species. In plants it is pollination of a sees, in mammals it is insemination. Foreplay to sex is not sex. Pretend sex, perverted sex-like acts, and masturbation are not sexual according to the definition of sex. There are specific words such as fellatio, cunnilingus, sodomy... which accurately describes the various intimate physical interactions that couples engage in. More accurate language usage will enhance civilization. Sloppy use of language confuses and crumbles a society. Review the history of the tower of Babel.

Even with having cleared up your definition of sex -- it still doesn't explain why you've chosen to reduce the definition of marriage to 'sexual union' and how the popularity of same gender marriage relates to humans beings being illiterate and degraded. All you've done is make an exposition of how much knowledge and information you've accumulated around the word 'sex' and then insinuating we should have known what you meant, 'if only we knew our words better'.

Note that this forum is not about throwing around knowledge and information or some one-liners to show off one's apparent wisdom. If established 'wisdom' and knowledge were worth anything then we would not be living in the world we live today.
If you want to make a point, substantiate it -- show where you are coming from, give it context and don't just assume that whoever will read it will get it. By showing our process of understanding, we can learn from one another -- but to throw around statements and claims out of the blue with no context whatsoever doesn't serve anyone but one's own ego.

Yes - sadly this seems to be the main reason why all the academics, scholars, self-proclaimed 'intelligent people' and educated minds cannot make a real substantial change/difference in this world or create/establish a world that is best for ALL. Because all that knowledge has 'gone to their heads' to fuel the competition-program within and as their mind, where they don't want to let go of the idea that "I am better than others because I know lots of stuff that others don't" --- and they don't realize that all that knowledge is completely useless when it comes to real-live assistance and support of what is here as the physical reality and every being in it.

I mean, like with language and being able to express oneself with words --- if the educated people see the benefits of mastering language and words and developing a broad vocabulary to express oneself in - then why is it that they do not investigate why or how it is that not everyone possess this ability or has the chance to educate themselves in the same manner --- and why is it that they do not dedicate themselves to create a world where they make sure that each and every person receives all the support they need to develop their vocabulary and linguistic abilities? Because, I mean, that they would allow a world filled with 'degraded and illiterate' human beings that make a mess of life on earth because they lack basic communication skills just so they could hold on to their idea of specialness and superiority within being 'the intelligent one' - like the one-eye being king in the land of the blind - then wouldn't that imply that they do not care about life on earth and that we should not trust them with the responsibility to direct this world and reality?

Because, it's even fascinating to see how it has always been those who convinced everyone else to trust them because they were the 'more intelligent/educated/civilized ones', that have in fact made a mess of things because they tried to control everyone and everything else in the world from the starting point of "I know best", without ever even investigating or questioning where their knowledge/education/civilization even comes from and whether or not what they believe to be 'best' is in fact best for all life on earth. And, I mean, if one have a look at nature, they do not possess anything of what the human would deem 'intelligence', and yet their movement and application in this world is impeccable and in fact far more intelligent than the human.

True.
And what I have also noticed is that this is often used as a form of superiority, even stating that those who do not have this so called 'advanced' intelligence can have no say in the matter. Also a form of locking people out who are not speaking or writing in the same way. It's often used as a judgment and superiority points instead of a point of realization about why only some have this so called 'ability' or access to aquire those language skills. Basically what Kim said:

and why is it that they do not dedicate themselves to create a world where they make sure that each and every person receives all the support they need to develop their vocabulary and linguistic abilities?

Because many times I have seen more elitist or higher class people act and feel superior to those they see as 'below' them, which creates again seperation, instead of working on a solution to bring all parts together. It is easy to blame and judge, but it merely shows ones own dishonesties, and it wont create a solution to the problem.

Yes, this has been part of the on purpose educational illiteracy - yes, not a contradiction but a reality - wherein our essential skills are limited by the educational process itself which is founded by the corporations/governments in order to keep the majority of the people with a limited spectrum of reality, installing the necessary 'seed' to believe in creations like the monetary system, religions, hierarchical orders and as such keep the entire world-system running the way it does now where very few are aware of our 'Education System' being a fraud in itself. And as such, how could we trust any person with knowledge and information stemming from this root and cause of misinformation called 'Education'? We can't and it's been proven as Leila explained how none of such knowledge has created a better world which proves this thesis: it only perpetuates the ongoing status quo, the 'normalcy' in society being that those who hold the knowledge are the powerful ones, however it doesn't mean such knowledge or power is real, it is only real within the context we have accepted and allowed within our current value system, which in fact reveals that any deposit of faith and belief in our current knowledge is part of the necessary manufactured lies contrived to on-purpose deceive/misinform in order to control.

Therefore I agree that one of the fundamental keys is educating the individual about these aspects of the actual dumbing-down plot education has been -at all levels, not only basic/elementary ones - and that's how Desteni is the educational process that is not part of the institutionalized systems that have been part of this deliberate scheme to limit the capacities of human beings, it is in fact the essential education to broaden the perspective of an individual to see beyond everything that has been blindly accepted and allowed as truth/ how things are without a spec of consideration on how is such knowledge relevant to sustaining live, promoting living principles and the understanding of our interdependence as living beings within one single ecosystem... none of our education is veered to explain that, so one of our fundamental tasks is certainly to ensure education, the real kind of education that will empower human beings equally, is an essential part of our society. This means that first of all that the more people are educated on these aspects = the more prevalent the necessity for an educational reform will be realized.

Because education is part of the political scheme, we have to certainly bring through these realizations and explain how it directly affects the individual to, for example, continue buying into the education that is sold for thousands of dollars a year when Education should be a given human right as it is in the best interest of every society to have educated people to become functional component of it to generate the best living conditions for everyone in it, which is what should be the standard of our society. Right now we have plowed into the belief system that good education must be expensive - which goes in accordance to our belief systems at the moment in relation to value, worth, also part of the educational 'inserts' we have accepted and allowed - and as such, come to accept that 'this is how things are and will always be,' when it is absolutely not the case. It is in the best interest of everyone to invest our time and effort to educate individuals, because in an educated society based on living principles and the understanding of our interdependence contributes to the development of human being's full potential. Figure that out, if our current 'living standard' is the result of a deliberately maimed society where only a few have access to so-called proper education - which according to the premise discussed here, it is not a real and genuine best education possible - what would it be like to live in a society where every single individual is educated with the best educational technology and supported with the most adequate tools - such as vocabulary, mathematics, principled living, understanding of the world systems that make our society functional -each individual will be equipped to be genuinely free individual that will contemplate his/her best interest to contribute to their own well being while being rewarded for it not only with good money to live in the best living condition possible, but also contributing at the same time to establish a new standard of living that is what we could currently understand as 'high living standard' which would then become the average, the norm in each society. This all requires to understand how from individual to individual, from nation to nation any form of competition must only exist at the level of bettering oneself, learning from one another under the premise that it is in the best interest of everyone to have people that you can eventually be able to trust with doing always what is best for all, not because they have a 'good heart,' but because they understand the living principle.

Now, this is the ideal part - the how to bring it through to reality is a process of joint effort wherein we are able to ponder the necessity of proper education that is certainly not the one that is currently offered by corporations through universities and schools at the moment, but an entire new curriculum directed to support and empower individuals in an equal manner which means: the tools are provided and it will be in each individual's capacity how thy will develop it, toward which fields of our society and how they will make use of it for their own benefit and that of the society as a whole.

Desteni is an essential understanding for each human being -no matter where in the world, what religion, what political affiliation, what 'I.Q.' each one has - since we understand that such standards have been specifically founded to create further division/separation, misleading ourselves from realizing that divide and conquer has been conducted through the education system that teaches such values and differences as 'real' when they are not and have only been an essential key to perpetuate the control of the majority in the hands of the few, that's what our so-called knowledge and education has been used for thus far, nothing else.

So, Paolo, I agree that sloppy use of language confuses and crumbles a society, but without understanding Why and HOW this was made something deliberate, one remains in the stance of the abuser that never dared to implement solutions only to remain on top, therefore I suggest investigating Desteni as the educational platform it is to understand the principles at hand and as such, contribute to your own well being which is extending this education to more people by becoming an example of what it is to live by principles, not by belief systems of value and knowledge.
