Yes, I agree, write out, describe what your experience is, without any 'aim' or intent, but simply writing, that's why DIP Lite is a good way to start writing as well if you haven't walked the course yet. At times we make ideas of what the writing should be like, but starting from the very basics of creating the habit of writing seems to make the most sense to me and then, slowly but surely, you start integrating the tools that you see around here like self forgiveness and developing the self honesty through that, and then getting to lay out the solutions for the things you see you have and want to change through self corrective statements.

But first things first, get comfortable with writing whatever goes on within you, placing it into words is the first step I'd say.

So, enjoy doing that
